Janae trained locally in ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, character and lyrical under the direction of Lausanne Jensen at Dance Corp Esprit. Highlights of her career include working with amazing choreographers like Mia Michaels, Tyce Diorio and Margarite Derricks. Janae has been teaching dance since 1997 and began teaching at Silhouette in 2011. Her dance career also includes judging various high-level dance competitions and try-outs over the past 17 years. Janae worked for Dance America for 8 years, judging and running the competitions. Janae loves to see the growth and development in each dancer and is so grateful for the opportunity to work and instruct such amazing students. Janae is blessed with the most supportive husband and 4 wonderful kids. She loves being a part of the Silhouette family and the dance journey of your children.
Lea Kosterlitz was born & raised in South Jordan Utah. Growing up dancing since the age of 2, has been trained in all styles. Grew up in the competitive world of dance for 16 years.
Danced professionally for Odyssey Dance Theatre for 4 seasons. From performing Thriller all of October, to Shut Up and Dance Germany tour in the Spring. Currently with Junction Dance Co. Going into her second season.
Lea has done many other performances in her dancing career so far such as: being multiples rolls in the Christmas Nutcracker to music videos with Alex Boyé and Ashlund Jade. Danced in halftime shows at Jazz games. To touring the country with Tremaine Dance Convention as a company member for 7 years. Was in a local hip hop crew in Salt Lake City for 5 years. As well as a performer she is a dance teacher and choreographer. Lea has always loved being on stage and showing her passion for what she loves, but also teaching dancers the history and reason dance is such a beautiful art form.
Brianna Chatwin is excited to be joining Silhouette Dance Studio! She grew up in St. George dancing in studio and high school. Moved on to get her dance degree at UVU and continued dancing at USU. She loves to teach and was fortunate to help coach Crimson Drill Team this recent year. She has a passion for the technique of dance and loves choreography. She is excited to motivate each student to be a little better each day!
